Chichester District Explorers are arranging a trip to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC), Switzerland in 2027 to provide our explorers with an international experience at the world’s permanent Jamboree site. This is a wonderful location that provides a great Scouting opportunity and a wealth of options for activities. Our District explorers have had fantastic trips there in 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2024. We are therefore keen to return again in 2027. This time we will be combining with Scouts from Westbourne and Southbourne and will have some 150+ on the trip.
The trip is open to all those explorers who will be 14 - 18 on 1 Aug 2027, as well as Scouts who will have turned 14 and moved up to explorers. Places will be limited to what we can squeeze onto a coach. Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment. At this stage the details are approximate but here is what we have so far:
Eligibility: All leaders / explorers from Viking, Noviomagus, Principia, Atrebates, Young Leaders and all Chichester Scouts born before 1 Aug 2013.
Expedition coordinator: Richard Williams (14-24 Team Leader (Explorers))
